A glossmeter (also known as a gloss metre) is a device that measures a surface's specular reflection (gloss). Gloss is measured by projecting a predetermined intensity and angle beam of light onto a surface and measuring the amount of light reflected at an equal but opposite angle.
Borescopes are used to nondestructively check the state of industrial systems and equipment, the quality and security of manufactured parts, and the presence of contraband, intelligence, and safety concerns in law enforcement. A borescope is an optical device used to see things that are normally invisible. Without damaging the object being examined, a borescope is placed inside it.
