The Mitutoyo disc micrometre measures spur and helical gear lengths with flat discs made of hardened steel in our own Japanese facilities. The discs' flatness and thinness enable for accurate measurements in small spaces. A ratchet-stop mechanism serves to produce uniform pressure on a workpiece for precise, repeatable measurements while also preventing over-speed mistake. The results of the measurements are displayed on an easy-to-read LCD display.
