Tanks, process streams, and other kinds of industrial equipment can all have their temperatures properly managed with the Series 38R Self-Acting Temperature Control Valve, which doesn't need any external power sources. The actuators have an integrated over-range prevention mechanism, a fully enclosed bellow assembly, and a robust die-cast aluminum housing. 1/8" through 6" port sizes and 1/2" through 6" connector sizes are available for valves. Four body material options are offered for the valve bodies: bronze, cast iron, cast steel, and 316 stainless steel. The valve bodies are available in single-seated direct or reverse-acting, double-seated direct or reverse-acting, and 3-way designs. Actuators come in Fail-Safe and with or without indication dials. While indicating actuators enable the operator to confirm process temperature and assist in temperature control, non-indicating actuators have a reduced profile and should be used in situations when space is at a premium. Fail-Safe actuators are made to ensure that, in the unlikely event that the terminal system sustains an unintentional damage that results in a loss of pressure charge, the valve fails in the safe control position—open when cooling, closed when heating.
