The Mitutoyo 568-967 Digital ABS Borematic Bore Gauge Set is designed for internal diameter inspection across the 1–2" (25.4–50.8 mm) range. It combines three complete Borematic gauges into one complete unit set, giving each measurement range its own dedicated display and measuring head.

The set includes the Mitutoyo 568-467 for 1.0–1.2" (25.4–30.48 mm), 568-468 for 1.2–1.6" (30.48–40.64 mm), and 568-469 for 1.6–2.0" (40.64–50.8 mm). Each gauge provides ±.0003" accuracy and .00005" (0.001 mm) resolution.

The three-point self-centering measuring system positions the contacts within the bore to support consistent internal diameter inspection without the rocking technique commonly associated with traditional two-point bore measurement. The snap-open lever allows the measuring head to be inserted and released during inspection.

The gauges use an electrostatic capacitance ABSOLUTE encoder that retains the measurement origin and provides unlimited response without over-speed errors. TiN-coated measuring contact points are designed for repeated inspection and can reach close to the bottom of blind holes.

4. Measure the bore

Squeeze the snap-open lever, insert the measuring head into the bore and release the lever. The three measuring contacts self-centre inside the bore and the measured diameter appears on the LCD.

5. Check the result

Read the displayed value directly or use GO/NO-GO judgement to identify measurements outside the configured tolerance range.

6. Record the measurement
