The Mitutoyo 568-468 Digital ABS Borematic is designed for accurate internal-diameter inspection across the 1.2–1.6" (30.48–40.64 mm) range. Its three-point measuring system self-centres inside the bore, helping operators identify dimensional variation that may not be apparent from a single two-point measurement.

The gauge provides direct diameter readings with ±.0003" (±6 µm) accuracy and .00005" (0.001 mm) resolution. By taking readings at different angular positions and depths, operators can evaluate bore conditions such as ovality and taper in components including bearing seats, pneumatic cylinders, compressor valve pockets, gear bores and machined sleeves.

The electrostatic-capacitance ABSOLUTE encoder retains the established origin during normal battery life and is designed to avoid over-speed errors. This reduces the need for repeated origin setting during routine inspection.

A 330° rotatable LCD display with 8.5 mm digits makes the measurement easier to view when the component or gauge is positioned at an awkward angle. Inch and metric units can be selected directly on the gauge.
