Product Overview
The Hioki CM4373-50 is a 2000 A AC/DC True RMS clamp meter designed for high-current electrical maintenance, industrial equipment, solar systems, EV chargers, motors and other demanding applications. Its reinforced 55 mm jaw accommodates larger conductors commonly found in switchgear and heavy electrical installations.
The meter measures 600 A and 2000 A AC/DC and measures AC/DC voltage up to 1000 V. With the optional P2010, DC voltage measurement can extend to 2000 V. It also provides resistance, capacitance, continuity and diode testing, together with inrush current, DC power, MAX/MIN/AVG/PEAK, low-pass filter and auto-hold functions.
True RMS measurement helps provide accurate readings when electrical waveforms are distorted by variable-frequency drives, LED lighting, switching supplies and other nonlinear loads. The CM4373-50 is also designed for applications involving high-voltage DC measurement, including solar and EV charger maintenance.
Current measurement accuracy is ±1.3% basic according to the supplied Hioki specifications. The meter has an IP54 dust- and splash-resistant design and an operating temperature range of −25 to 65 °C.
The safety rating is CAT IV 600 V / CAT III 1000 V, with CAT III 2000 V applicable to DC measurement when used with the optional P2010.
Bluetooth® connectivity is available through the optional Z3210 Wireless Adapter. When paired with GENNECT Cross, measurement data can be transferred wirelessly to iOS or Android devices for logging and reporting. Compatible CM4370 series instruments can also perform harmonic analysis through the 30th order.
