The Hioki 3288-20 is a compact 1000 A AC/DC True RMS clamp meter designed for electrical troubleshooting on UPS systems, batteries, motors, inverters and other equipment. Its slim profile and double jaw lever support practical one-handed operation, while the 35 mm jaw accommodates common conductors.
The meter measures 100 A and 1000 A AC/DC, with AC current measurement from 10 to 500 Hz using True RMS measurement. It also measures DC voltage from 419.9 mV to 600 V and AC voltage from 4.199 to 600 V, with True RMS measurement for AC voltage.
Additional functions include resistance measurement from 419.9 Ω to 41.99 MΩ and continuity testing. Current measurement accuracy is ±1.5% rdg ±5 dgt according to the supplied Hioki specifications.
True RMS measurement helps maintain accurate AC readings when working with distorted waveforms produced by variable-frequency drives, rectifiers, switching power supplies and similar equipment.
The 3288-20 is rated CAT III 600 V for current measurement and CAT III 300 V for voltage measurement. It does not support Bluetooth® or the Z3210 wireless adapter.
