With RSm = 100 µm, Pt = 3.0 µm and Ra = 1 µm (40 µin), the Rubert 530 is a sine wave precision reference specimen classed as ISO 5436-1 type C. Laboratories use it for checking and calibrating surface measuring instruments. It is offered in two versions: 530E, with a hard nickel-boron top layer, and 530X, without a top layer.
