For samples heavier than water, the Brannan 10/990/0 offers a narrow 1.65 to 1.70 SG scale on a 190 mm S series body. Its 1.65–1.70 SG band is graduated in 0.002 SG steps, giving a short instrument with a fine reading. The 10/990/0 is adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C) and measures the relative density of a liquid against water on the 60/60 °F scale.
