The Rubert 118 is a Series 100 roughness comparator dedicated to lapped and superfinished cylindrical parts. Its 8 (4 + 4) patches cover Ra 0.025–0.2 µm (1–8 µin), roughness grades N1–N4. Series 100 plates are the heavy-duty design intended for workshop use, so the 118 can be kept beside the machine for comparing parts with known reference finishes. A lightweight Microsurf equivalent (318) is offered for office and design use.
