With one 90 ml pot (two 45 ml parts), MT-005-B is the compact pack of M80 LP, Plastiform's slow-curing manual putty for longer replication jobs. It is typically chosen for checking clearances and air gaps on assembled parts, and can also be used in injection moulds.
Key features
- Gives around 7 minutes to work the material and takes about 35 minutes to polymerise
- Cured impression is semi-rigid at 80 Shore A and does not flex
- Accepts no extraction stress; reserve it for simple geometry or partial replicas
- Also used to stiffen fragile components temporarily before machining, limiting vibration
- The manufacturer does not recommend sectioning it with the Double Blade Cutter
