Palmer Wahl KB Series (Model 40KB) gas test gauges are 4 in painted black steel gauges used to leak-test new gas and plumbing installations for building code inspections. After the system is pressurised with air through the Schrader valve, the red set hand is placed over the pointer and left for a time; any drop away from the set hand shows a leak. Each dial has a psi outer scale in black and an inches of mercury inner scale in blue.
