The Mitutoyo 145-193 caliper jaw inside micrometer is designed for measuring small internal dimensions such as bore diameters, internal grooves and slot widths across a .2–1.2" range. Its caliper-type jaws allow direct measurement inside features that can be difficult to access with standard outside micrometers.
The jaws are made from high-grade tool steel with carbide-tipped measuring faces for wear resistance during regular inspection work. A locking clamp secures the spindle after measurement, allowing the micrometer to be withdrawn from a bore or groove while retaining the reading.
The satin chrome thimble and sleeve provide an analog .001" graduation, while the fully mechanical design requires no battery. A setting ring or inside setting standard is required to establish the reference before measurement and is available separately.
