Part MARNC2 is the NC2, a non-contact voltage tester optimised for 230V single-phase and three-phase supplies. It detects AC between 200V and 1000V, lighting a red LED in its clear tip and sounding a buzzer. At 230V AC it indicates at roughly 4mm from a conductor, which helps when tracing live circuits, telling live from neutral or finding blown fuses.
