The ifm electronic Photoelectric Distance Sensor is a rugged M30-style sensor using time-of-flight (ToF) laser technology to accurately measure distances from 0.03 m to 2 m. It delivers reliable background suppression and colour-independent detection even on glossy surfaces due to an intuitive, lockable rotary setting ring. With PNP relay outputs, IO-Link communication, and robust IP65/IP67 protection, it’s well-suited for industrial automation and precision detection tasks. The sensor provides fast response times and stable measurements in challenging environments, making it ideal for object detection, positioning, and presence control. Its compact stainless steel housing ensures durability and easy installation in tight spaces.
