Product Overview
The Hioki CM4001 is a True RMS AC leakage clamp meter designed to measure everything from low-level leakage current to high load current. It measures 0.60 mA to 600 A AC across five ranges, making it suitable for leakage-current checks, load-current measurement and electrical troubleshooting.
Its slim clamp jaw accommodates conductors up to 24 mm, allowing technicians to access conductors in electrical panels and other confined installations. The meter is designed for measuring leakage and load current without requiring the circuit to be opened.
True RMS measurement helps provide accurate readings on AC waveforms that may be distorted by variable-frequency drives, LED lighting, switching supplies and other nonlinear loads. The CM4001 also provides MAX/MIN/AVG, PEAK and INRUSH measurement functions, together with auto hold.
A built-in comparator function can provide a visual and audible indication when measured leakage exceeds a configured threshold. The red backlight and buzzer can help technicians identify circuits requiring further investigation.
