The Flexbar 17002 is the Style 2 version of the Electrical Interlocking Mounting Bracket (E.I.M.B.), built with a telescoping and swivelling arm. That geometry is intended for lathes whose headstock is irregular or dome-shaped, such as Hardinge machines. It takes the place of the standard bracket on a Flexbar Latheguard or Small Chuckguard so the machine cannot be started unless the shield is lowered.

- Cam-operated roller limit switch opens the motor-control circuit when the shield is tilted up
