FEMA SWL air flow monitoring pairs an SLF sensor with an ASL evaluation unit to monitor air flow, for example in air-conditioning systems. It works calorimetrically: a heated thermistor loses heat to the passing air, and a second thermistor compensates for medium temperature to keep the switching point stable. An adjustable 2-60 s start-up bypass covers fan run-up.
