


Emerson PAC8000 I/O Module Carriers
The 32 or 64 module addressing options are supported by the Emerson PAC80002/2 I/O Module Carriers. These carrier types must be used exclusively if a node needs 64-slot addressing because they cannot be combined with carriers for 32-slot addresses. The design of a cabinet can be flexible thanks to a variety of extender carriers and cables. Carriers can be mounted directly to a flat surface, on T- or G-section DIN-rail, or both. They can also be connected end to end to expand the size of an installation.
For modules that require it, Bussed Field Power (BFP) is connected to the I/O Module Carrier. Two adjacent module slots are supplied by each BFP connection, so these modules must share a single BFP supply. Cable screens and shields can be terminated using terminals on the carrier.
