Product Overview

The Dwyer Series TUF Ultrasonic Energy Meter provides accurate and stable measurement of heating and cooling energy consumption in clean, compatible liquids. The TUF-320-BN is the DN32 version, rated for a permanent flow rate of 6 m³/h, making it suitable for tenant-level heat metering, utility billing and HVAC energy monitoring.

By combining a flowmeter, temperature sensors and energy calculator into one compact device, the TUF-320-BN reduces the need for separate measurement equipment. It can be used for monitoring chillers, boilers, radiators, fan coil units and individual tenant or apartment piping.

The ultrasonic measurement principle has no moving parts, helping reduce mechanical wear and maintenance requirements. An integrated 8-digit LCD provides local access to temperature, flow rate and energy readings.

For building automation and billing applications, the TUF-320-BN provides BACnet® MSTP communication, allowing measured data to be transferred to compatible BMS and utility management systems.

The meter features a plastic housing with brass and 316L stainless steel wetted parts and an IP65 enclosure rating. It supports horizontal or vertical installation, with horizontal pipe runs requiring installation at least 45° from horizontal to help prevent debris accumulation.

The DN32 version uses a G1-1/4B threaded connection within the DN15-DN40 connection range. The unit operates from a 24 Vac/Vdc supply and can accommodate a user-supplied 3.6V ER26500 lithium battery for backup.

For installations requiring Modbus communication rather than BACnet, the TUF-320-MD uses the same DN32 flowmeter body and specifications with Modbus RTU communication.
