Dwyer Instruments SAV-STE3-NC | Angle seat valve | 1-1/2" NPT | 3-9/16" actuator dia.
Genuine Dwyer SAV-STE3-NC angle seat valve from General Tech Services LLC, Saudi Arabia, with free Saudi Arabia shipping available.
Part No. SAV-STE3-NC
Product Overview
The Dwyer SAV-STE3-NC is a compact, externally piloted stainless steel angle seat valve designed for reliable on/off control of compatible gases, liquids and steam. It features 1-1/2" NPT female connections, a 3-9/16" single-acting pneumatic actuator and mechanical spring return.
This is a normally closed (NC) valve. The mechanical spring holds the valve closed, while pilot air opens it. This spring-return arrangement provides automatic closure when pilot air is removed.
The valve's wetted components are made from AISI 316L stainless steel, with a PTFE seat and seal and an FKM stem O-ring. The valve provides ANSI Class VI shut-off performance and is suitable for temperatures from −10 to 180 °C (14 to 356 °F).
For liquid applications, the SAV-ST series incorporates an anti-water-hammer design for applicable bi-directional normally closed configurations where liquid flows under the seat. An integral heat sink helps protect the polyamide actuator from process heat.
The actuator housing can rotate through 360°, allowing convenient positioning of the pilot ports. A visual indicator provides a quick indication of the valve's open or closed position, and the valve can be mounted in any position.
For pressure-critical applications, confirm the maximum line-pressure rating for the exact SAV-STE3-NC configuration before ordering.

Who This Product Is Best For
◆ Process plants requiring pneumatic on/off control for compatible liquids, gases or steam
◆ Food, beverage and chemical applications requiring stainless steel wetted components
◆ OEM machine builders specifying compact externally piloted angle seat valves
◆ Maintenance teams replacing compatible SAV-ST series angle seat valves
◆ Industrial systems requiring normally closed, spring-return operation
How to Install & Use It
- Install the valve in the process line according to the flow direction indicated on the valve body.
- Mount the valve in a suitable position and rotate the actuator housing as required to provide convenient access to the pilot ports.
- Connect clean pilot air with a minimum pressure of 60 psi.
- Connect the pilot supply directly or through a suitable solenoid valve.
- Apply pilot air to open the normally closed valve and verify operation using the visual position indicator.
- Check the valve connections and seals for leakage during commissioning.
- Confirm that the process pressure, temperature and media are compatible with the exact valve configuration before placing it into service.
Frequently Asked Questions
What size is the Dwyer SAV-STE3-NC?
The valve has 1-1/2" NPT female ports and a 3-9/16" actuator.
Is the SAV-STE3-NC normally open or normally closed?
It is normally closed (NC). The mechanical spring holds the valve closed, and pilot air opens it.
What is the valve body made of?
The body, plug and stem are made from 316L stainless steel. The seat and seal are PTFE, with an FKM stem O-ring.
What media can the valve handle?
It is intended for compatible gases, liquids and steam. Media compatibility should be checked against the wetted materials and operating conditions.
What is the temperature range?
The specified temperature range is −10 to 180 °C (14 to 356 °F).
What is the maximum steam pressure?
The Series SAV datasheet specifies a maximum steam pressure of 150 psi. Confirm the complete pressure rating for the exact configuration before ordering.
What is the minimum pilot pressure?
The minimum pilot pressure is 60 psi.
Can the valve be mounted in any position?
Yes. The valve can be mounted in any position, and the actuator housing rotates through 360° to help position the pilot ports.
Should I choose the SAV-STE3-NC or SAV-STE2-NC?
Selection should be based on the required line size, construction, actuator configuration, operating pressure and fail-safe position. Provide your media, pressure and temperature requirements so the correct configuration can be confirmed.
Is delivery available across Saudi Arabia?
