Product Overview
The Dwyer SAV-STC3-NO is a compact, externally piloted stainless steel angle seat valve with 1" NPT female ports, a normally open configuration and a 3-9/16" pneumatic actuator. It uses a single-acting piston actuator with spring return, allowing the valve to remain open until pilot air is applied to close it.
The valve is designed for compatible gases, liquids and steam. Its body, plug and stem are manufactured from 316L stainless steel, with a PTFE seat and seal and an FKM stem O-ring. The valve provides ANSI Class VI shut-off and is rated for temperatures from −10 to 180 °C (14 to 356 °F).
Underseat flow helps reduce the risk of water hammer when shutting off liquid lines. An integral heat sink helps dissipate heat and protect the polyamide actuator during elevated-temperature service. The actuator can rotate through 360°, allowing convenient positioning of the pilot ports, while the valve can be installed in any position.
A NAMUR mounting pad allows direct installation of a compatible solenoid pilot, and the standard visual indicator provides a quick indication of valve position.
