Part No. AVUB-1-V
Product Overview
The Dwyer AVUB-1-V is a duct-mount air velocity transmitter designed to provide simple and reliable airflow feedback for HVAC control, energy management and building automation applications. It measures air velocity from 0–785 FPM (0–4 m/s) and provides a linear 0–10 VDC output for direct connection to compatible controllers.
The Series AVUB uses thermal sensing technology to measure heat loss from the sensing element and calculate air velocity using the local air temperature at the probe. The sensing elements are metal-clad for long service life and easy cleaning, while the design is resistant to drift across the measurement range.
The transmitter has an IP67 enclosure rating, except at the sensing point, making it suitable for demanding plant-room and HVAC environments. The 240 × 19 mm probe can be mounted in any orientation provided it is correctly aligned with the airflow.
Electrical connections are made through screw terminals, with a cable gland suitable for 4–8 mm cable. A screened cable can be used where electrical noise is a concern.
For applications requiring a different range or output configuration, compare the Dwyer AVU-2-A.
