The DeFelsko STDZSTL is a small uncoated, precision-machined steel zero plate, a 38 mm (1.5 in) disk for checking that a ferrous coating thickness gauge reads zero correctly. DeFelsko lists it for PosiTector 6000 F, FS, FRS, FN, FNS, FNRS, FXS and FNDS probes, F microprobes and PosiTest DFT Ferrous/Combo. It also serves as a base for plastic shims or polystyrene blocks during verification, and as a substrate when measuring sheet materials such as paper, plastic, fabric or rubber.
