Brannan 47/435/0 is a 305 mm stainless steel scoop slot front case, designed for taking temperature by sampling. The scoop end collects a sample of liquid around the bulb, while the case also protects a standard 6.5 mm diameter laboratory thermometer from breakage. A front slot keeps the scale readable and a suspension ring is fitted at the top. At 91.5 g it is the heaviest case in the range.
