For specific gravity readings in the 1.95 to 2.00 band, Brannan supplies the 10/980/0, a general purpose hydrometer in its M50 series. It compares the relative density of a liquid with that of water, so this 1.95–2.00 model is intended for liquids denser than water. Adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C), the M50 model 10/980/0 measures 270 mm overall and spans 0.050 SG with 0.001 SG divisions. Like the other M50 instruments, the 10/980/0 is similar to hydrometers in ISO 650 and in the now superseded 1960 issue of BS 718.
