For specific gravity readings in the 1.75 to 1.80 band, Brannan supplies the 10/976/0, a general purpose hydrometer in its M50 series. With a band of 1.75 to 1.80, it is used for liquids denser than water, giving relative density against water. At 270 mm overall, the 10/976/0 carries 0.001 SG graduations across its 1.75–1.80 span and is adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C). The 10/976/0 follows the pattern of hydrometers in ISO 650 and the superseded 1960 edition of BS 718.
