For liquids with a density between 0.90 and 0.95 g/ml, Brannan part number 10/456/0 is the matching M50 SP hydrometer to BS 718:1991. The 10/456/0 measures 270 mm overall, is adjusted at 15 °C and carries 0.001 g/ml divisions. Accuracy on the 0.90–0.95 g/ml scale is 0.001 g/ml, higher than the standard M50 series offers. Suited to low surface tension liquids, the 10/456/0 comes from a sub-series widely used in the petroleum industry that corresponds to IP 160.
