Brannan's 10/255/0 hydrometer spans 50 to 60 Brix and gives a direct reading of sugar percentage for wine production. Accuracy of the 50 to 60 Brix instrument is ±0.2, read against 0.1 divisions. Like the Balling and Plato scales, the 50 to 60 Brix reading of the 10/255/0 assumes adjustment at 60 °F (15.6 °C) and 55 mN/m surface tension.
