The Pi Tape P000SS covers outside diameters of 0.5–2 in, reading in inches to a stated tolerance of ±0.001 in, and is made from 716 stainless steel. It is used to measure the O.D. of round parts directly, giving consistent and repeatable results across the 0.5–2 in span. Because the P000SS starts below 2 in, its material thickness is 0.006 in (0.15 mm) or 0.007 in (0.18 mm) depending on material type.
