Two-point bore gauges depend on the operator finding the true diameter by rocking the gauge, so readings can vary from person to person. The Mitutoyo 468-277 solves that with three self-centring anvils spaced at 120°, which locate on the bore automatically and read the true inside diameter across a 7-8" (177.8-203.2 mm) range.
The contact points are TiN (titanium nitride) coated for durability and impact resistance. A ratchet stop applies constant measuring force, and the large LCD reads to 0.0001" / 0.001 mm with inch/mm switching. It is genuine Mitutoyo, supplied through an authorised distributor in Saudi Arabia.
