The Gagemaker BR-2001-USS is the buttress runout gage version for USS Improved Buttress threads. It measures thread runout, meaning how abruptly the buttress thread ends at the triangle end, and is used to confirm correct thread pullout on runout type threads.
- For USS Improved Buttress threads
- BR-2000 Series gage with typical 1" and 2" point spacing
- Supplied with shoes and one contact point (TBR)
- A steep thread end left by fast tool withdrawal causes high stress at the contact point once the coupling is made up
