The Dwyer Series WE05 is a 3-piece stainless steel ball valve with socket weld end connections, designed for process isolation and control applications. Its full-port design supports high flow with minimal pressure drop, while the 3-piece swing-out body and seat arrangement allows convenient welding.
The valve features a 316 stainless steel (CF8M) ball, reinforced PTFE (RTFE) seats and PTFE seals and packing, together with a blowout-proof stem. It is available as a manual valve or can be configured with direct-mounted electric or pneumatic actuators.
Electric actuator options include weatherproof or explosion-proof versions, various supply voltages, two-position control and 4–20 mA modulating control. These actuators include thermal overload protection and a permanently lubricated gear train.
Pneumatic actuator options include double-acting versions requiring 40–115 psi and spring-return versions requiring 80 psi, with a maximum pneumatic supply of 120 psi. The actuators use anodized and epoxy-coated aluminium construction and mount directly to the valve for a compact assembly.
The WE05 is available in line sizes from 1/2 to 3 inches. Depending on size and configuration, pressure limits range from 20" Hg vacuum to 1000 psi (−0.7 to 69 bar) up to 250°F, with temperature limits of −29 to 200°C (−20 to 392°F).
