Product Overview
The Dwyer Series TUF Ultrasonic Energy Meter provides accurate and stable measurement of heating and cooling energy consumption in clean, compatible liquids. The TUF-2000-MD is the DN200 version, rated for a 200 m³/h permanent flow rate, and combines a flowmeter, temperature sensors and energy calculator in a single device.
This integrated design makes the TUF-2000-MD suitable for applications such as chillers, boilers and individual tenant or apartment piping where heating and cooling energy needs to be measured for sub-metering or utility billing.
Ultrasonic technology eliminates moving parts, helping reduce mechanical wear and maintenance requirements. An 8-digit LCD provides local access to temperature, flow rate and energy readings directly at the meter.
The TUF-2000-MD provides Modbus® RTU communication for connection to building management systems, monitoring platforms and utility billing systems. For installations requiring BACnet communication, the TUF-2000-BN uses the same DN200 flowmeter body and specifications with BACnet MSTP communication instead.
The meter has a plastic housing with brass and 316L stainless steel wetted parts and an IP65 enclosure rating. It supports horizontal or vertical installation, with horizontal pipe runs requiring mounting at least 45° from horizontal to help prevent debris accumulation.
The TUF-2000-MD operates from a 24 Vac/Vdc supply and can use an optional user-supplied 3.6V ER26500 lithium battery for backup.
