Product Overview

The Dwyer IF2714 is a Series IF industrial direct reading flowmeter designed to provide an immediate visual indication of flow without requiring correlation charts. It is rated for up to 22 GPM (83 LPM) of water and 90 SCFM (2550 LPM) of air, with a 2" female NPT connection.

The flowmeter uses a borosilicate glass tube with a 316 stainless steel float, guide rods, float stops and end fittings. Fluoroelastomer O-rings provide sealing, while a detachable 3/16-inch-thick polycarbonate front shield protects the flow tube. The side panels are made from 304 stainless steel.

The IF2714 provides ±3% of full-scale accuracy, ±0.5% of full-scale repeatability and a 10:1 turndown. Its listed pressure drop is 16" w.c. Maximum operating pressure is 200 psi (13.8 bar), or 125 psi for tube sizes 5 and 6, with a maximum temperature of 200°F (93°C).

The meter is designed for vertical mounting. Typical applications include cooling-water and process-water lines, compressed-air distribution, filtration and treatment skids, and industrial test benches.

Before ordering, confirm the required flow range, fluid, operating pressure, operating temperature and connection size.

How to Install & Use It

  1. Confirm that the required flow range, fluid, pressure and temperature are suitable for the IF2714.
  2. Mount the flowmeter vertically in the line, with flow entering through the bottom inlet.
  3. Connect the 2" female NPT ports using compatible fittings and suitable thread-sealing practices.
  4. Ensure the meter is securely installed and the flow tube is clearly visible.
  5. Open the supply gradually and allow the flow to stabilise.
  6. Read the flow directly from the scale at the float position.

Follow applicable Dwyer installation instructions and site safety procedures during installation and commissioning.
