The Photohelic® Switch/Gages are multifunctional instruments that serve as precise pressure switches and gauges, incorporating the trusted Magnehelic® design. These devices are capable of measuring and controlling positive, negative, or differential pressures of air and compatible gases. Standard models come with a rating of up to 25 psig (1.7 bar), with options available for 35 (2.4 bar) or 80 (5.5 bar) psig. For single pressure applications, the 36000S models can measure pressures up to 6000 psig (413 bar), with a rating of 9000 psig (620 bar).
Equipped with two phototransistor actuated, DPDT relays, these instruments offer precise low and high limit control. The set point indicators are easily adjustable using knobs located on the gage face, with each set point having a deadband of one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. For added flexibility, set points can be interlocked to provide variable deadband, making them ideal for controlling fans, dampers, and similar equipment.
Despite electrical power loss, the gage reading remains continuous and unaffected by switch operation. A wide range of full-scale pressure options is available, ranging from as low as 0-.25" (0-6 mm) w.c. up to 30 psi (21 bar), with single positive pressure measurements extending up to 6000 psig (413 bar).
