The cheap cost and outstanding performance of the Model 185EL-S1SS Linear Smart Positioners are combined in one convenient package. Based on an input signal of 4 to 20 mA from the controller, Series 185 models precisely manage the valve stroke of linear motion valves, such as W.E. Anderson globe valves. It is perfect for difficult situations because of its strong, resilient aluminum construction or optional stainless steel construction. The Smart Positioner's extremely effective microprocessing unit is shielded by its NEMA 4X (IP66) enclosure grade. Any valve system can be stabilized with the output of an analog feedback signal, and the accuracy of the device is guaranteed by user-friendly features like auto calibration. Low air usage lowers operating costs without compromising the Smart Positioner's functionality. This unit's small size makes it simple to use with any size actuator. With the LCD panel integrated into the outside of the device, Smart Positioners make it simple to check the positioner's condition while out in the field. User-selectable single or double action is offered, with HART® communication as the default. The 185 will fail immediately if the 4–20 mA input signal is lost.
