The DeFelsko LPDKITB is the PosiTest LPD Basic Kit, a low voltage wet sponge pinhole detector for coatings on metal and concrete. It includes what is needed to test with a rectangular sponge. GroundSense shows the user that the instrument is properly grounded, and regulated outputs do not drop under load. Low voltage detectors like this are typically used on coatings below 500 µm (20 mils).
- Four voltage settings: 9 V, 67.5 V (two sensitivities) and 90 V
- Thickness range 0–500 µm (0–20 mils)
- IP65 sealed housing; 180 g without batteries
- Runs on 3 AAA batteries, over 150 hours
- Includes base tube, rectangle sponge and hardware, 4.5 m ground wire, insulating collar and hard shell case
