The DeFelsko PC1 is Powder Comb Model 1, graduated in mils with teeth at 3, 6, 9 and 12 mils. Drawn through dry powder before curing, it shows the uncured thickness as lying between the highest tooth that leaves a mark and the next tooth that does not. It works on metal, plastic, wood, glass and other substrates, and is included in DeFelsko powder inspection kits.

- Broad stand-offs keep the comb perpendicular to the surface
- Manufactured to a tolerance of ±5 µm (±0.0002 in)
