Built on the Advanced gage body, the DeFelsko FXS3 combines it with the PosiTector 6000 FXS probe, the Xtreme cabled probe for non-magnetic coatings on steel, with an alumina wear face and braided cable. With the FXS fitted, the gauge reads 0–2000 µm (0–80 mils). For coatings on rough or hot steel, this configuration helps inspectors who report against SSPC-PA 2, ISO 19840 or IMO PSPC and transfer data by WiFi or Bluetooth.
