Built on the Advanced gage body, the DeFelsko FKS3 combines it with the PosiTector 6000 FKS probe, a cabled probe for thick protective coatings on ferrous metal substrates. With the FKS fitted, the gauge reads 0–13 mm (0–500 mils). For very thick coatings on ferrous metal, this configuration helps inspectors who report against SSPC-PA 2, ISO 19840 or IMO PSPC and transfer data by WiFi or Bluetooth.
