The Brannan 17/102/2 is the oven version of the batch sampling thermometer, reading +20 to +130 °C in 1.0 °C divisions with ±2.0 °C accuracy. Its precision test thermometer is sealed into a 30 ml polypropylene bottle that already contains a heat transfer medium of aluminium oxide crystals. Because the bottle base holds a core temperature close to that of the stored samples, the reading is not thrown off by brief thermostat cycling or by opening the door.
