Brannan's 10/962/0 reads specific gravity between 0.70 and 0.75 on the 60/60 °F scale and is part of the general purpose M50 series. It compares the relative density of a liquid with that of water, so this 0.70–0.75 model is intended for liquids lighter than water. Adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C), the M50 model 10/962/0 measures 270 mm overall and spans 0.050 SG with 0.001 SG divisions. The 10/962/0 follows the pattern of hydrometers in ISO 650 and the superseded 1960 edition of BS 718.
