For specific gravity readings in the 0.90 to 1.00 band, Brannan supplies the 10/943/0, a general purpose hydrometer in its M100 series. It compares the relative density of a liquid with that of water, so this 0.90–1.00 model is intended for liquids at or just below the density of water. Adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C), the M100 model 10/943/0 measures 250 mm overall and spans 0.100 SG with 0.002 SG divisions. The 10/943/0 follows the pattern of hydrometers in ISO 650 and the superseded 1960 edition of BS 718.
