ASCO E290D03P0SA0000 Angle Seat Valve, G 3/4" DN20, Normally Closed, 316L Stainless Steel
ASCO E290D03P0SA0000 Angle Seat Valve 3/4" NC | KSA
Product Summary
The ASCO E290D03P0SA0000 angle seat valve is a 3/4" (DN20) normally closed, air-piloted valve with an AISI 316L stainless steel body and a 6 bar differential pressure rating. Flow enters under the disc, making it suitable for general on/off applications. It handles water, air, light oils and steam up to 184 °C. Product Description
The ASCO E290D03P0SA0000 is a 3/4" (DN20) normally closed angle seat valve designed for utility skids and process lines requiring reliable on/off control of water, air, steam and other compatible media.
The valve uses a piston actuator operated by pilot air. When pilot air is not applied, the spring keeps the valve closed. When pilot air is supplied through a 3/2 solenoid pilot valve, the disc lifts from the seat and allows flow through the angled valve body.
The AISI 316L stainless steel body, PTFE disc seal, FPM wiper seal and AISI 431 stem are suitable for water, inert gases, steam and light oils up to 800 cSt. The valve has a maximum allowable body pressure of 16 bar and is listed for up to 6 bar differential pressure.
The actuator code P is not fully defined in the available ASCO public documentation for this product. Confirm the actuator size, material and pilot-port details with General Tech before ordering.
For a higher-pressure 3/4" option, the ASCO E290D03T0SA0000 is listed with a 63 mm stainless-steel actuator and a 16 bar rating. The ASCO E290D0330SA0000 uses the same general 3/4" size with a 50 mm plastic actuator and a 10 bar rating.
Key Benefits
Normally closed operation provides fail-closed isolation when pilot air is lost.
AISI 316L stainless steel body for demanding water, steam and utility applications.
PTFE disc seal supports hot-media applications up to 184 °C.
Angled-seat construction provides a wide flow path for on/off service.
Suitable for water, air, inert gases, steam and compatible light oils.
Valve can be installed in any position, with the actuator rotating 360° for pilot-port access.
Designed for applications requiring up to 6 bar differential pressure.
SIL 2 and EN ISO 13849-1 related compliance is documented for the Series 290 range.

Who This Product Is Best For
The ASCO E290D03P0SA0000 is suitable for 3/4" lines in applications such as:
Water treatment and desalination
Food and beverage utility systems
HVAC hot-water circuits
Compressed-air distribution
Tank filling and draining
Rinse-water on/off control
Cooling-water isolation on packaging equipment
Low-pressure steam applications, subject to confirming the steam rating
It is best suited to applications where the working differential pressure remains within the 6 bar rating.
How to Use / How It Works
1. Mount the valve
Install the valve in any suitable orientation and follow the flow direction indicated on the valve body. Use compatible G 3/4" fittings and suitable thread-sealing practices.
2. Connect the pilot line
Connect filtered air or water from a 3/2 solenoid pilot valve to the actuator pilot port. Confirm the pilot-port connection for the P actuator with General Tech.
3. Set pilot pressure
Keep pilot pressure at or below 10 bar and ensure sufficient pilot pressure is available to open the valve against the actual line pressure.
4. Cycle and check
Operate the valve several times at the intended working pressure. Check the pilot connections, valve body and stem area for leaks before placing the system into continuous operation.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the P in E290D03P0SA0000 mean?
P identifies the actuator variant. The available ASCO public documentation does not fully define its size and material, so confirm these details with General Tech before ordering.
What pressure is the E290D03P0SA0000 rated for?
The valve is listed for a maximum differential pressure of 6 bar. The maximum allowable body pressure is 16 bar.
Can the ASCO E290D03P0SA0000 handle steam?
The Series 290 documentation covers steam applications up to 184 °C and includes a 10 bar steam limit for the series. Because this specific valve is listed at 6 bar differential pressure, confirm the applicable steam rating with General Tech before ordering.
What happens if pilot air fails?
The valve is normally closed, so the spring returns the valve to the closed position when pilot pressure is lost.
Which 3/4" ASCO angle seat valve should I choose?
The E290D03P0SA0000 is suited to applications up to its 6 bar differential-pressure rating. For higher-pressure requirements, the E290D03T0SA0000 is listed at 16 bar with a stainless-steel actuator. Confirm the correct model for your application with General Tech.
Can the valve be mounted vertically?
Yes. The Series 290 valve can be installed in any position. The actuator also rotates 360° to help with pilot-port positioning.
